I prefer the animal bedding, myself, which is just pine pellets. The fancy, cat specific litter is called Feline Pine, but it is way overpriced. I get 40lbs of pine pellets for $6 and it lasts me a month or more for 2 litter boxes for 2 indoor cats, changed out completely once weekly. No dust for me or my cats, no horrible odor from the litter, no noticeable odor from the cats.
Get the dust-free stuff (or as NickiB454 points out, pine litter). It makes cleaning sooooo much easier, plus there is no fine layer of dust on everything in the vicinity of the pan.
Arlo needs to get himself a self cleaning litter box. They’re a bit on the expensive side, but totally worth it. Very little fuss and very little muss.
Pretty Litter… it’s auto-shipped to my home: Good for 30 days, no smell, low dust; just daily remove solid waste and mix the litter up & Done! The bonus is a color dye indicator, just in case cat gets a urinary infection.. early prevention on that vet bill.
No one else noticed that this strip is out of date? Janice is wearing a turtleneck and Arlo a long sleeve shirt. Definitely not a comic created for the summer.
You know, there are litters that don’t smell that bad! Plus, if you clean it right after the event you’re better off! My kitty & I had a system. She would come over & sit in front of me until I got the message that she wanted to make her business & immediately after I would clean it up. She hates a messy litter box! I miss her so much!!!

If it’s that bad, you need to buy better litter.

I have remarked, whilst cleaning the litter box, that free-divers have nothing on me.

Ours try to out-mark each other, both of them peeing in the same place. We end up scooping out soaked wads of litter, some the size of softballs.
