He might end up as a dancing boy. His ex boss is still out 50 million thanks to Jeff.
randgrithr almost 14 years ago
Nah. His ex boss’s COMPANY is out 50 million thanks to Jeff getting the bagman assignment from his ex boss.
The ex boss knew the contact. Jeff didn’t, and the ex boss knew he didn’t.
Think about it.

Good twist, rand. So the boss sent the idiot to the “wrong” contact on purpose?

Redfern must have read Rousseau: “A man’s reach should always exceed his grasp, or what’s a heaven for?”
Only for “heaven,” Redfern substitutes “Nina Sayers” …

can I say “celebritization” without being compared to that Alaskan pin-up gal? I hope there’s a difference between poetic license and malapropism.

Your coinage, “celebritization”—mocking SP’s take on the Reagan centennial—shows that you don’t suffer from Palinosis. Her politically confused followers, however, seem to have caught her verbal disease.
Hearing SP warn that “there’s fear in the air,” Roy Billings, a Reagan admirer and a longtime contributor to the foundation, said he liked Ms. Palin a great deal, but he hoped that she would not run for president in 2012.
“I think she’s a good person,” Mr. Billings said. “Maybe she’s got potential to be the president someday, but not now. There’s too many people who don’t relate to her.”

And she’s currently VERY pregnant, so that shot will likely be a thing of the past.

Maybe I’m existing in an alternative reality, but I think that quotation, “Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp, or what’s a heaven for?” is from Andrea del Sarto by Robert Browning, one of my favorite poets.

Sarah del Caribou’s verbal reach exceeds her political grasp, and that’s what the Tea Party’s for—giving her an audience.
