I don’t know why she drags him there. I’d rather lose a limb than take my DH shopping with me (unless he has to carry home my new embroidery machine of course).
I’ve said it before—I don’t understand why some women drag guys to places like that. And I’m a woman. But then, some women can’t stand to be alone. I had one tell me that she missed church one Sunday because her husband was out of town. I wanted to ask if church was that frightening a place. If I waited for my husband to go with me I’d never go anywhere.
Yeah, I’ve seen your type at JoAnn’s, either following your wife around, or sitting on a chair with your arms crossed, looking sulky. What’s the reason? Even if you only have one car, can’t your wife go by herself—if you don’t want to go?
The old joke when I was younger was the there was some chemical outgassing from new fabric that put me to sleep. I still followed her around fabric stores now and then…
That sure looks like Quantity Time to me. OK, just what Quantity of " Needed " stuff am I gonna have to "Pack Mule "into the House this time when we get Home ??

there’s no escape of going to Opal’s favorite places, Earl (when has she ever gone to his favorite places?)

Is Opal colorblind? Is that why she brings Earl with her?

I don’t consider that quality time, I consider that hell. Earl you should take her to Home Depot afterwards.

My Grandfather always went with my Grandmother to the stores because she didn’t drive. Don’t remember Opal ever driving either.

She needs him to carry all that heavy fabric to the car. Plus, she likes to get his opinion.

My stepdad (RIP) loved to go shopping, but refused to go into fabric stores with my mom. He’d sit in the car with his Kindle & wait for her.

I’ve worked out a deal: She doesn’t take me into the fabric store and I don’t take her into (the tools section of) the lumberyard.
