The hornets nest in the glove box would call for a can of gasoline and a match.

When he gets done, he will only remember the good times. Nothing like doing projects.

Brace up, Baldo. Hector wouldn’t have given you a project you couldn’t handle. First step is to GET THE CAR UP ONTO SOME SAFE JACK STANDS! Ask your boss about an employee discount, but it is dangerous to work on it with those blocks as supports. Ask your boss if he can cut you a deal on a set, maybe he has a set he can loan you, but you don’t want almost two tons of Impala to fall on you or Grace or any of your friends because concrete blocks broke under the weight.

The satisfaction you’ll feel when you one day turn that hunk-o-junk into an actual working vehicle will far eclipse the sense of defeat you’re feeling right now.

I hope he doesn’t kill those bees but contacts someone to come rehome them. Bees are precious!

Baldo, despair is the first phase in any restoration project. The next one is to start working to make your dream car a reality. It will take time, money and lots of elbow grease but in the end you will be the owner of your dream car that you built yourself.

The same could be said of marriage. Problem is, the dream is an illusion.

You don’t have a cool car, Baldo: you have the corpse of a cool car. The question is, are you Frankenstein enough to bring it back to life?

A rebuild is best done in under a cover or inside a work place, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I rebuilt a ’55 Chevy outside one summer. It was in West Texas so not a lot of bad weather to worry about.

My first car was a ’63 Chevy. Mine was a Bel=Air with Impala front fenders. It was a lot easier to get a ’63 back in ’71.
