Richard's Poor Almanac 2005 Guide to Christmas Trees By Richard Thompson Masonic Lodgepole Pine - Just like the pyramid on the dollar bill! Except it's a tree. Roadside Fir - Found near highways with strong crosswinds. Comes with handy rope. Inverted Spruce - Upside down trees are tres chic this year and - A look! It's Tai Shan, everybody's favorite adorable rented panda cub! In a Santa hat! Where's the tree? It fell down. I didn't hear anything. Exactly. What? Ha ha! Isn't he something? There he goes! What were we talking about? Oh yeah, trees. Koanifer - great for those who like to play Zen mind games with their kids.

If a Christmas tree falls in the living room and nobody hears it, there’s nobody home.

I’m sticking with the aluminum tree. Backlit by colored lights.

Per Wikipedia: Tai Shan was the first giant panda born at Washington’s National Zoo to survive more than a few days, and became a D.C.-area media star. Born July 9 2005, he is still alive today, although in 2010 he was sent to China (per international agreement; he wasn’t deported).

Christmas trees?
Bah, humbug!
I have a table-sized small ceramic “tree” with appropriately little colored lights. That’s close enough….
