I really wanted to forget “The Marriage Ref” ever existed.

So glad to have company, Old Wolf. I’ve been un-televised for twelve years, except on the occasional laundry day… I get to see Dallas Raines’ LA weather report… Woo hoo

No TV for 6 years and don’t miss it. Weather, news available on the net. If perchance there is an enjoyable TV program (for example Rome, Deadwood) it will show up on Netflix, iTunes or Hulu. And I like all the money I save by not having TV, not to mention the insults to my intelligence. To say nothing of political ads.

I used to watch the Big Bang on TV. Not the show, the actual Big Bang. The residual radiation was part of the static on analog TV.

@ spyderred - that’s exactly what we do (and with the same shows, plus Firefly and Battlestar Galactica.) Though I dearly wish Deadwood had gotten its final season!!

I watch TV just about all waking hours because I watch morning news from 6AM weekdays and 7 on weekends and then many shows that I TiVo. I can watch many while doing crafts or cooking. Living alone with a little African Gray, it is good to have the sounds and I enjoy a large variety with my Digital Cable. Of reality, I love the competitions in cooking, sewing and decorating. Also many crime shows (Criminal Minds, Lie to Me, Forensic Files etc). Masterpiece is not what it was in the days of I Claudius and Duchess of Duke Street, but I still enjoy them.

Hey, if any of you are ever in New York city, go to the Museum of Radio and Television. You can call up just about any old show you might want to watch. You get to sit in a nice, comfy chair, earphones, and watch your favorite show, or TV event in the news, etc. Great fun.
