Okay, I’m the worst Dad or the best but here’s what we did when my kids brought this home. We are not going door to door with that. You fill it out with 10 relatives and friends of ours and Nanny’s who you want to give this too and I’ll write you the check. You answer the door all afternoon and tell the 8 kids in your class that live on our street that we aren’t buying any except Tammy, get 2 from Tammy and we’ll give them to her Mom and Grandma. Cookies mostly.
I told my daughter that she would never get the big prize for sales. I’d buy what we could use as a family and nothing else. The magazine drive was the best one. If I was going to subscribe to one, I’d wait for the fund raiser to do it. Of course that was long before I started reading everything online
I didn’t really mind going door, to door, with my kids. I bought a pair of headsets, and whichever child I was with wore one, and I wore the other… they would go to the door, and I could hear everything being said, and be able to talk to them, if needed.
