Today, August 2 is:

National Water Balloon Day. That sounds like fun!

National Beer Day. Not for me. I don’t drink alcohol.

National Ice Cream Sandwich Day. I still have some of my mint chocolate chip ones in my freezer!

National Coloring Book Day. I like coloring, but some of the adult coloring books have such tiny spaces to color. I like bigger spaces, but not as big as they are in the kid’s coloring books.

Bbear – I hope Tabby is feeling better!

LROS from yesterday, about playing Solitaire on the computer – are you doing the Microsoft Solitaire Collection – the one where they have daily challenges of Klondike, FreeCell, Tri-Peaks, Spider and Pyramid? Then every other day they have the challenges where you play 20 or 30 games. I do that every night. Tonight, it was all Tri-Peaks. I just finished playing those challenges and I did all 20 challenges and even did 2 “expert” level Tri-Peaks in under 5 minutes!. That’s my best accomplishment ever! I don’t often have a perfect night like I did tonight. I play late at night and sometimes get too sleepy to attempt the “expert” challenges, though I do at least try to do the hard ones. I can usually make it through those. In fact, it’s about time for bed now.

Didn’t we see this a few years ago but it was another cat that got mailed?

I was walking on the track at Van Devender Middle School around 8:30 this morning trying to get my weight even further down (I have lost more than 175 pounds). The teacher parking lot was mostly full even though they don’t have to start work for another week. I said to a custodian who was using a weed trimmer that that would have been me ten years ago. She asked me where I taught (Hamilton Middle School) and her reaction was, “OMG, you taught me science!”With over 5,000 former students, I get that reaction a lot.

Pity the poor post person when that mailbox is opened!!!!.

No docs in the office this afternoon, so I decided to take a half day instead of filling my schedule with patients (needed a mental health break). Went out to pick peaches and the u-pick was half price. Got 1/2 peck for $6 (that’s all I can eat before they go bad). We’ll see if they have any more when these are gone.
