These days it’s battery-powered bubble machines. I was given one last Christmas by my son and daughter-in-law … so that I have one to play with my Grandson who already has one of his own at home. Best present ever ?
It’s probably only been sitting there since summer ended. Middle schoolers tend to “grow up” in a day (at least in their own mind!) and they can just as quickly revert, as she has done here. It’s a complex time in life. So enjoy the bubbles, Heart!!!!!

The small and simple things bring the most joy, and the day we grow out of that, we might as well be dead.

The young want to grow up way too fast. They cannot enjoy their childhood.

My wife and I still have teddy bears. She’s 69 and I’m 65. Plus they talk. And, I still play with trains.
