My wif was an envy to many ladies in our church, as she never had nausea at all with both of our kids. Of course, the first was 7 days late and last minute c-section, while the 2nd was 7 days early and a planned c-section. They had the same due date, 2 years apart. Oldest is 4/26 and youngest is 4/11. Definitely not sure how that happened! (to a point, that is.) If guys were meant to have kids instead of women, then test-tube babies would have been perfected by now!
Both my brothers share the same birthday (October 12), 11 years apart. My birthday (I’m the oldest) is October 18. We used to joke that my parents only had sex once a year.
That’s the worst. I never had trouble with morning sickness, and gained a ton of weight with each kid. The hardest time I had was dealing with raw meat (buying it and preparing it), but I never threw up so I could get through it. I have a friend who threw up so much with her first pregnancy that she had to go on anti-nausea medication so she and the baby could gain weight.
I had exactly one day of nausea in two pregnancies. Yes, I am very much aware of how lucky I was. Considering I had to work both times, right up to my due date, I am very grateful.
SIL lost 50 lbs with one of her last kids. She wasn’t skinny to begin with, but she sure was at the end. And they were both fine. But apparently 9 months of vomiting plus 3 more small kids running around are a great diet plan (which I hope never to try)
I never had morning sickness beyond, when I was getting ready for work one (yes, just one) morning, saying “oooh, I feel a little nauseous… never mind.” and not thinking a thing about it until a certain monthly event didn’t occur.
