Duffy isn’t the bright kid he thinks he is and he just proved it!

What bargaining power does he think he has with the council, he isn’t taking the strongest evidence with him. Maybe it is forethought to protect it or he doesn’t want to show his strongest suit yet. I hope the council never gets the chance to see it or even know of it’s existence. However with Duffy along what are the chances?

Hope Kirbee and Chic will be alright. Duffy needs a swift kick in the butt.

They might as well read it, now…

Kirbee won’t dare let it out of her sight now. Chic’s in for a world of disappointment.

And said sinister force has already manifested itself in that apartment, when Wally was unconscious… and now he won’t be around to fight it off. Just Kirbee and a broken broom…

If you want Aaron Neathery’s face to light up with joy and make him look like Chic in Panel 4, then why not become a patron on Patreon? Seriously, this really is important. It matters. A small monthly donation keeps Aaron alive, and considering he works his tail off to keep Endtown alive just for you, don’t you think it’s worth it? I do. Just go to the Patreon web address that you can see on the edge of the above strip. Thank you most deeply.

They were going to look anyway. Curiosity. Kirbee nor Chic can avoid it. Once Wally said what he said they were eventually going to look. At least with Duffy telling them what’s in it they can avoid damaging it. Just what will the comic show them? Are they in it? If not……how will Kirbee and Chic react if they see they are not in the story?

I think neither Chic or Kirbee are in the book. Whether or not they are, Duffy might be trying to get them out of the story, so he has a more important role in it.

Every parent and most teachers know that telling a child not to do something is a guarantee that they will do it. It’s even in the Book of Genesis when god told Adam & Eve to not eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. They knew that A & E would partake.

Lovin’ Kirbee’s “Squeee!” here. Perfect response for her!

I really can’t see what the harm is in both Kirby and Chic reading the comic.

Looking at everything going on, and being the Wild Guesser I am, I have to wonder.

I am beginning to think that perhaps we’re misinterpreting “there is no mutagenic virus”. Did the captain mean “there is no virus, mutagenic or otherwise”, or did he mean “there is no mutagenic virus specifically”?

Explaning: if the dimensions are crossing over and pressing into one another as Duffy said, perhaps even ‘leaking’ as the boundaries get stressed, elements of other dimensions could be inserting themselves quite forcibly into their new hosts as part of the replacement process Duffy says will happen if both realities aren’t entirely wiped out. That would make it more of a memetic virus—ideas from other realities have come into being, and the people of the pre-war Endtown reality are unwillingly being forced to adjust to this unstoppable, infectious ‘meme’. People who are aware it’s happening struggle and become monsters; others who don’t break down at first but are unable to completely acclimate get schism syndrome. The topsider suits would then be less anti-viral and more perception filters, including the gloves (which you need to interact with ‘real’ objects rather than the ‘memetic’ ones).

Just guessing. But it’s been fun.
