Don’t we all know someone like that?

With cat comes privilege. (Ask any cat)

Was eating dinner at my cousins when I felt a “boop” on my leg. It was Whiskers politely asking for a bit of my chicken. He knows not to ask Mom or Dad or he’d find himself in the bedroom behind a door. But Aunt Rose snuck him a bit.

He is the sweetest kitty ever and I’m lucky enough to be the only “outsider” he will approach. Lucky me!

What do you need the salt for, Ches? There’s no more food on your plate.

Okay, I’m confused. According to the National Day Calendar that shows every day is a holiday, today is National V-J. But looking back, it said before that August 14 was National V-J Day. So now I’m confused. I wonder if one of those was supposed to sat V-E day?

Anyway, today is for sure:

Labor Day. The last day of summer vacation for kids around here and the first day that a lot of parents are trying to buy school supplies. Ha! Good luck with that! Though I did find we had one box of Ticondaroga pencils stashed away someplace.

It is also National Blueberry Popsicle day. I love strawberries, blackberries and raspberries, but I’m not fond of blueberries.

Pierce You Ears Day. Nope. Not happening. I’m NOT going to pierce my ears.
