I have a problem with being up high on a ladder or on the roof. I even feel odd looking over a parking garage ledge. But flying doesn’t bother me. I suspect being in a space station wouldn’t either.
Interestingly, a person afraid of heights is usually not afraid if they’re in a secure position (for example, in an office of a skyscraper). But put them next to a small rail on the roof and the fear kicks in big time. I like to call this “common sense”. ;D

Just make him the window washer. Both sides, he’ll get used to it.

I was never afraid of heights until I understood the gravity of the situation.

Someone should have told him, or maybe they did, “In space no one can hear you scream” Except the people in space with him.

It’s not the height that bothers me. It’s the depth.

Acriphobia is generally not triggered unless one is standing on something attached to the ground.

It’s not the heights that get you. It’s the alien bursting out of your chest.

He’s not afraid of heights, he’s afraid of relative distances.
