I’m catsitting Twig’s brother Fozzie Bear for two weeks. He looks a lot like her. She’s a Tuxedo and he’s solid black with a tiny spit of white under his chin and a little vertical strip on his tummy. He’s very sweet.

Be it ever so crumbled, there’s no place like home.

Today is a LOT of stuff! It is:

National Acorn Squash Day. I planted acorn squash in my garden, but I don’t see any out there now. I have a LOT of Butternut squash out there, though.

I don’t know who makes these “holidays” up, but I think we should have a World Ten Cats Day now that we’re back getting new strips.

bbear – I like James Patterson books too. I’ve read some Alex Cross stories and I’ve read through #16 on the Women’s Murder Club. Another of his books I liked was one called “The Quickie”.

whisplicka – I did get your note today. It was in the cash office and a CSM found it for me.

Uh oh, I hope the city didn’t put up new signs. But the chaos of the city is why we are planning a 13 hour round trip to LA and back on Monday for a noon visit to a pulmonologist for Craig. Hope we can do it, I am sleepy after 3pm.

Hmmm – it looks as though Annie may have to find a new home for the 10 cats soon. Chesney and Jack shouldn’t get too comfortable.

Patches is doing SO much better. He’s been back for three days now. He comes out, sits at the slider and front door to watch the critters. He eats and drinks. He’s gotten a little feisty, too. He growled a little at Moose last night and I had to inform him that growling at Moosie was NOT allowed. I got a new toy for the next batch of kittens yesterday and Patches had to try it out. He can go back to PetCo next weekend.

I think it really sucks that Noreen Klose comes home after 5 weeks in the hospital and recovery center to find out that GoComics has banned her without telling her why. Pardon the irony but this is HEARTLESS of them. I urge you to email them at moderator@gocomics.com to request her reinstatement.

Well, it will keep snoopers out, which is good for the kitties…or, maybe, just maybe, Chesney put those up!

Home, Sweet(?), Home. It’s always nice to be home, no matter what.

UPDATE: I feel much better today although I still tire easily.

Home sweet home.

Did Chesney and Jack leave town voluntarily or were they chased out by an angry mob? (Sorry if that sounds mean.) On another note, saw a dragonfly and two rabbits while out walking today. Didn’t see any doves yet, but I’ll keep looking for them.
