My dog Shilo got reunited with his mother on his 1st birthday. We had a birthday party for him and his 3 brothers at a beach with both his parents, organised by the rescue centre we got he and his brothers from. Shilo’s mother Lucy was abandoned at the side of a road where she had Shilo and her 3 other puppies but all were, found, rescued and adopted into to good homes. At the reunion Shilo remembered his mother and his brothers with touching affection. And Lucy went into full on Mother mode fussing over all of them and running around after them. It was so lovely to see. Dogs always remember their mother. But that doesn’t mean they won’t love their human mother any less. Shilo is a great example of that.

I like Rover and this comic. Red reminds me of my grandson Eric. He had red hair as a boy too.

I prefer to think that my dog has forgotten all about her mother and that I’m the only mom she wants to see.

AWE! So sweet! I’d pick my mom, too. But for much longer than just one day. She passed in 2001.

If I could spend a day with any other person it would be my mom. I could use one of her hugs again

These two have reduced me to a puddle three days in a row. They’re so adorable that I wish I was rolling around on the grass with them!!!
