The United States seems to be the only country that has managed to commercialize breakfast to the point where we MUST eat special foods at these times. They have done a particularly good job indoctrinating children to sugar-laden sweets for breakfast. It’s usually the only “part” of the complete breakfast kids will eat.
Few people will eat steak, veggies and potato for breakfast.
In Japan, I frequently had fried rice for breakfast.
