…Things look bleak for Lila until she finds out about a job offer which happens to be the same job Boyd was fired from. She takes it, and the comic strip world is brought back to order.
And just like Milford not making the playdowns, Mary Worth meddling in somebody’s affairs, and Tom Batiuk’s destruction of the Funkyverse, Lila returns to whence she worked and order is restored to the comic strip universe, as it always should be.
well, there certainly was more laughs back at their old jobs.
It depends on what direction JWF wants to go…..Lila with an adopted daughter……interesting, adorable and altruistic …but not as funny (to me) as when Boyd and her looked at the world in their usual sarcastic, self absorbed way.

Don’t worry, nighthawks. There’s plenty of sarcasm and self-absorption to go around!
