Not to mention ( and I wish I didn’t have to) the chair arm itself has become…um…icky. no way that’s ever gonna get clean.

And what is Toby doing under that paper? This whole scene is too… ’too" for our delicate sensibilities.

Oddly, the other chickens think that Hen-rietta there is spending too much time with the human.

I think it was in one of Van Amerongen’s cartoons in his earlier work The Neighborhood that he showed a cowboy wearing chicken skin boots (with the feathers) that “never caught on.”

Eating chicken or eggs is frowned upon in Toby’s house. However, opening a window and crowing at dawn is not appreciated by many a neighbor.
