My guess is that Tracy won’t bother to check how Frisk got those records. That’s not as important as preventing the Howells from doing anything that might be dangerous to Frisk.
Just wondering that maybe she’s not lighting the filter end of a cigarette at all and we’re looking at a mistakenly-rendered cigar holder. I got to thinking about the Howells puffing on cigars and if that might be another facet of their connection to Fritz. When I googled “cigar holders” to investigate, many of the images depict thin-walled stainless-steel storage tubes with a small amount of the cigar sticking out. If Joe and Shelley didn’t realize what they were actually referencing…
Far-fetched, I know, but it would explain a much more obvious and jarring mistake.
Here is a photo of a cigarette that looks similar to what Frisk is holding. http://bsmedia.business-standard.com/_media/bs/img/article/2016-06/02/full/1464857947-2829.jpg
what I’ve been saying for days. she wants to go all legal "you’ll need a warrant for that’ he can push back much harder and she won’t be out for days. Basic police procedure is he would confiscate her weapon to be sure of the ballistics from it in the guy she shot. “You have a back up? no ? oops.”
Tracy observes and deduces that Frisk is under great stress. She apparently lit the filter end of her cigarette, while ignoring the probability that smoking is banned in the building. She is worn out mentally and physically. While her wound is not serious, the exchange of gunfire and failure to rest and recuperate are taking a toll. That Howell wants Frisk dead suggests that the “Baby Biz” is not exactly on the up and up. You don’t hire a hit man if you have nothing to fear or hide. Frisk works alone with no partner to have her back. Tracy wisely warns her to watch her step. Will she? Unlikely.
1-DT: Oh no you did-ent light that filter just to end this date! Lordy that stinks!
2-PRIMM: Not as bad as this ‘date’ does.
3-PRIMM: Lemme put it this way Tracy. I consider that time Dr. Lechter made me a dinner of liver, fava beans and a nice chianti to be a better time than this. And those ‘do-or-die-dates’ I had with Butch while I was wrongly imprisoned were better than this. And the chaste dates I had with Rock Hudson, even when he called me ‘his beard’ for some reason, were… DT: OK, OK! I GET THE PICTURE!
Since Friskie has already been engaged in a gun battle by a would-be assassin (whom she put down with two to center mass), it would seem that Tracy’s admonition (panel 3) is superfluous. Frisk ought to be conscious of the danger that lurks around any corner without having to be told by. Tracy. But, I guess, he is trying to end this interview on a friendly note, given that she declined to share how she got the records of the Howell babies.. He is also, however, a keen enough observer to have noticed her mis-play with her filter cigarette (which I think is intentional in the story since the POV focuses on it both yesterday and today)….

Oh look, she lit the wrong end of a cigarette.

No poem needed to point out the ridiculous depiction of a lit cigarette filter, although that could explain her ragged face!

Wouldn’t the Tracyville Police Headquarters be smoke free, like most public buildings are nowadays?

Looking at Frisk and knowing she’s a Howell baby means that the Howell’s have been in business at least 50-60 years…

I don’t think they’ve decided on what Frisk should look like, which in my opinion should’ve been done before doing the arc.

Isn’t this technically “collusion” or “conspiracy” or some other high-falutin’ legal term?

Frisk may be one of the good guys, but she strikes me as more Chaotic Good rather than Lawful Good.
