On another note (as Tad says) I found out yesterday that one of my co-workers is afraid of squirrels! We have a couple of them living in our garden center. They raised a family in our battery room (that’s where we store old, returned car batteries until they can be picked up. We keep some of our garden center supplies in there, too, like our price signs and frost cloth & stuff). Anyway, while I was on my break, this person came to me and told me she was taking a customer outside to see our wheelbarrows and she was just about to step outside when she saw the squirrel and she would not take another step outside. I told her those squirrels are our buddies (I call one of them Rocky, but I can’t tell them apart so I guess I call both of them Rocky). She said, “I don’t need no squirrels for a buddy. No! No way!” I never heard of anyone being afraid of squirrels before, but I guess it takes all kinds of people to make the world.
A great Sunday strip! Love how Chesney is holding the cards. And a nice wide angle view of the warehouse. We are having company today, I have been doing housework all week, including windows and blinds. And the yard work. Just the cat boxes left, and I have had enough!
No adoption for Patches this weekend. I can’t believe we’re thinking about this but if he doesn’t get adopted by the time we get back from our trip on Oct 8, we MIGHT keep him. He’s sweet, no trouble, back to being healthy, eats the food the others eat (great – it’s already a fortune for THREE, may as well add a 4th mouth to feed) and I’ve weaned him off of wet food.My friends all insist we should keep him. The downside is that IF we do, we can’t take in any more fosters. I would prefer that he get a home so we can continue to foster.
That mouse may not have lasted long as a tour guide, but he’d be a great comedian! On another note, it’s been raining where I live. It would have been nice if it was nice and sunny (it is the last day of Summer, after all) , but the rain is good for my garden, so it’s all right.

Today is:
National Ice Cream Cone Day. We’ve been promised we’ll have ice cream cones in our break room freezer today. Oh boy!
Car Free Day. No can do. It’s a 21-mile trip (one way) to work and I ain’t walking or biking that far (anyway, my bike has 2 flat tires).

National Legwear Day. I plan on wearing my legs today. Yeah, I know, that’s not what they mean.

National Girl’s Night In Day. I’m working an early shift today (so I must go to bed very soon), so yes, I will be in tonight.
National White Chocolate Day. I like white chocolate, but I don’t love it. I like milk chocolate best
