Use both colors, black and purple is a great combo, and it would work well with either Plum Crazy or Tuxedo black exterior. Unfortunately, The 61 thru 64 Chevy doesn’t really lend itself to a good-looking two-tone exterior pant job. I think the hi-lite strip could be black with the primary color being Plum Crazy. IMHO.

Next will be asking the color of the body of the Impala which will go with the crushed velvet upholstery.

The velvet will wear out too fast, and you’ll have to do them again next year.

Velvet in a convertible is just asking for problems.

Actually, I’m asking for the opposite of your opinion. That’s the cool option.

Sounds like he’s thinking of a pimp-mobile. Stains clean off the leather more easily, though.

In a few years he will probably learn how hard it is to get beer or puke out of crushed velvet.

The Black Leather will get hot enough to fry your buttcheeks in the summer.
