UV reflects off snow + people often don’t notice because of the cold.

[nerd alert] ‘Cross Of Iron’ is WW2 from the POV of a German soldier. There’s a scene where one of his mates says that the proper combination of sweat and dirt makes him waterproof.

So that is where the orange people get that color!

When we moved into our current house we spent a fair amount of time cleaning the bathroom where spray tan was applied. The tile is beigy and we didn’t look at it carefully.
