And now they find out why the money is always off. should have checked that cash register when the problems first started happening – but then this arc wouldn’t have happened.
Personal story: I worked as a manager for short stint at a fast food restaurant decades ago (name withheld here, but a famous chain). After lunch, it as my job to take the money from the lunch shift to the bank down the street. Of course, I counted it. Twice. And almost every single day the cashier at the bank would tell me I was short $20. The first couple of times, I felt embarrassed and, being that I hate math, blamed myself for the error. But it kept happening! I knew I was not THAT stupid. The manager of the franchise thought I was stealing from him. But then HE counted the money and went to the bank. Yep. $20 short. Turned out this one teller at the bank was skimming a little bonus for herself. We involved the police and set her up. She was fired and arrested.
Is the manager getting the last one out of the till to fix Brad’s mistake in the last panel, or is he putting a one back to make it look like Brad made a mistake?

How much are you willing to bet the boss may have a little hand in this?

Watch him closely, Brad. And always remember. Mr. Howard WON’T be the WORSE Weenie World manager you’ll ever get.

It is good to count it out, not just hand it over.
