Thibault stands up dazed. Marcie and Peppermint Patty stand behind him. Peppermint Patty says, "Nice going, Marcie . . . You destroyed my second baseman!"<BR><BR> Marcie replies, "I'm sorry, sir . . . I got carried away . . . I was going to give him my lecture on the good qualities of women, but instead I hit him . . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty walks away and says, "Well, let's get back to the game." Marcie says, "I'm not going to play any more, sir . . . I hate baseball . . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty shouts, "Okay, but the least you could do is stop calling me 'Sir'!!!"<BR><BR>

First time I saw this strip, I thought Peppermint Patty was LITERALLY thanking Marcie(not being sarcastic)in Panel 1, for “destroying her second baseman”; (since he DID treat Marcie unfairly, of course.) Now I now she’s really being sarcastic, when she says,“NICE GOING!”(synonym for “Thanks a lot!”as we know.)

This may be an unpopular opinion but I kinda wish Thibault made more appearances. The strip doesn’t have a lot male antagonists
