Actually, I have read and heard, that there is a slight doubt as to when exactly Beethoven’s birthday is; some think it may be December 15, and not the 16th.

Playing for Lincoln’s inaugural ball was truly a feat considering Beethoven had been dead for 33 years by that point, and had never been to America.
