Gee, Mom, aren’t you impressed that your 6 year old uses terms like reversed polarity and ionosphere?
LET HIM GO! LET HIM GO! LET HIM GO!!!
I don’t think you really want to hear more of his nonsense even if he does finish his homework.
Calvin, sometimes you just have to suck it up and do it. This is one of those times. Learn this early and it’s not so bad later in life.
How did he get downstairs from his room when he was upside down?
If he gets stuck to the ceiling again, she could hand the book up to him.
As a grownup – Home is where the heart(h) is!As a child – Home is where the work is!!
“Ionosphere!” I never cease to be amazed with that kid. The reason he hates homework has to be because he’s so far out ahead that homework is boring and a total waste of his time. I can relate…
Any excuse
I love Mom’s eyeroll and expression in the 3rd panel.
Mom, get the boy into gymnastics! He so easily can do handstands!
My granddaughter is 4 (ok, a big 4) and hard to lift up, particularly with one arm. Calvin is 6. Mom must be strong.
Poor Calvin, he was having fun….
I’d love to see the look on mom’s face when he shoots back up to the ceiling again.
I think mom would feel the force of the reversed gravity pulling him up if that were the case.
Mom is always grounded….
Ithouhgt she was going to spank calvin!!!
Calvin is going to be so amazed that his mom is the unexpected scientific cure to reversed gravity. Unfortunately, not so much the cure to Calvin.
Hopefully the gravity of the situation will restore the Calvin’s gravity system.
His commitment to his imagination is impressive. Which makes sense since that is the basis of the entire strip.
There’s a time for levity and a time for gravity – homework time.
Do you still have his crib? Maybe you could turn it upside down and use it to “contain” him – from drifting off of course.
I now fall up!
If such a thing existed it would be anti-gravity. Polarity is an magnetic/electrical property. :-)
Why does she have to lift him LOL
Just hold me tight (don’t let go)
Hold me tight (don’t let go)
Mmm hmm (don’t let go).
Look at Mom in the third panel haha
