Or, maybe it would be cheaper in the long run to pay TMO to wipe the investigator’s mind.

Moral of the story….those who forget the past are doomed to…….wait, have we been here before? Feeling a sense of deja vu, like we’ve been going in circles. Meh, probably just my imagination. Anyway, those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

The man stood quietly in the humming laboratory as the scientists carefully outfitted him with notebooks, pens, pencils, a camera and tape recorder. Slowly they guided him to a raised platform over which were several strange rods with heavy cables attached to computers and power equipment. “Listen carefully”, they told him, “We are going to send you 200 years into the future; you will be there 2 weeks and be automatically returned to this time and place only 10 seconds after you have left. We can never perform this experiment again so it is imperative that you record everything you can. Now go.” The equipment came alive as mighty energies ripped apart the very fabric of time and space and the man vanished. Sweat formed on the scientist’s faces as the seconds ticked by. 3-2-1-0, and the man returned.Anxiously they rushed the platform and grabbed everything the man carried. “What have you done!” the crowd yelled, “The notebooks are empty, the writing instruments unused, the recorder is blank and the film unexposed!”Slowly the man bowed his head and shook it side-to-side. “When I arrived I was greeted by uniformed men, I suppose they were police of some sort; they grabbed me and held me fast. Their leader told me that I would be taken to a large building which he pointed out. He then told that once I saw what was there I could choose whether or not to remember what I had seen.”He raised his head and peered toward the ceiling. “I chose not to remember.”…
