The man stood quietly in the humming laboratory as the scientists carefully outfitted him with notebooks, pens, pencils, a camera and tape recorder. Slowly they guided him to a raised platform over which were several strange rods with heavy cables attached to computers and power equipment. “Listen carefully”, they told him, “We are going to send you 200 years into the future; you will be there 2 weeks and be automatically returned to this time and place only 10 seconds after you have left. We can never perform this experiment again so it is imperative that you record everything you can. Now go.” The equipment came alive as mighty energies ripped apart the very fabric of time and space and the man vanished.
