I guess there are, like, much worse words.

I would, like, “like” this comic, but that would, like, be wrong on, like, so many levels.

Lol, it’s very difficult not to mention there’ s a political connotation here.

I’ve heard it bruited that forms such as “she was, like, all about talking. Yknow?” are sensible: The “like” is a tag that says you’re not quoting/describing with total accuracy, and the “yknow” is an “over to you” tag.

I have noticed that a sizeable portion of the 35-and-under crowd starts almost every reply to a question with “So,…”. It must be a cultural influence that I totally missed.
