Dog shouldn’t have to live there.

I’m not a dog person, but this makes me sad.

The cats should free him, break into the house and scratch the people’s eyes out.

Or as I call it, a dog.

How to yank at the heart strings. If some people treat their “best friend” that way, think what they’re really like. ( JERKS )

I suspect Wiley just brought home another “rescue” to love. I’m going to guess the local shelter has Wiley on speed dial

Definitely strikes a very raw nerve with me ..

Every once in a while, I come out and find some nearby dog barking his fool head off. The feral cats and I just look at each other as if to say “Yeah, I know”.

This makes me so sad and ashamed!

Gasp! Why would the poor fellow be tied up in a fenced in yard? Cruel! ( I had a German Shorthaired Pointer who jumped 6’ fence everyday….I had to chase him all over the neighborhood! )

They treat us with love and affection and we treat them……..like dogs.

Snoopy, we have a mission for you.

We have a reeeely big, fenced in yard. Our dog loves it.

Reminds me of the kids we keep in cages on the border.

A “friend” doesn’t treat a friend like that…

Perhaps a fence and a tree is better than starving to death next to a dumpster?

The neighbors down the hill always have two or three dogs that they allow to roam free. For some reason the dogs seem to prefer my yard, my deck, tearing up my trash and my BBQ table. So far four of them have have crawled under my deck or my camper to die.

You know,I don’t know the last time I saw a dog actually tied to a tree. The ones I see are tied to loving owner’s hand as they walk the streets.

Breaking my heart here….

Poor dog.

It’s amazing how many loving pet owners seem to lack common sense when it comes to taking care of their pets — or even choosing what pets to have. I’ve had two smallish, elderly friends badly injured trying to walk their very, very large dogs — the dogs would take off after a rabbit and the owner would be dragged to the ground. One friend ended up with a dozen stitches and oral surgery; the other had cracked ribs and a sprained wrist. A tour guide relative insisted on getting a French bulldog and can’t understand why it doesn’t seem to be bonding (hard to bond with someone who is gone three weeks out of every five). We live ‘in the foothills’ and subscribe to the neighborhood email post. Every day there are reports of coyote, fox, bobcat and (this time of year) bear sightings within a few miles. Every day there are one or more postings about dogs (and cats) either missing or found. No one seems to realize that in a wildlife area dogs and cats allowed to roam will do so.

Show me a dog tied to a tree and I’ll show you a human that needs neutered.

Poor dog! Our dog is spoiled – even has her own seeing-eye cat. The only one of the four cats we have who she allows to be anywhere near her.

If the dog(s) aren’t treated as full members of your family, DON’T GET A DOG! Of course if you tie your kids by the neck to a tree, or spouse, and leave ‘em in the yard alone all day, guess it’s no big deal?

It’s great when they’re needed for your Facebook postings. After all the thumbs-up’s, and praises, they’re are back to being ignored.

This is criminal….this individual should NOT have any animals

I treat my dog better than I treat my husband. The dog listens to me much better than the husband ever has. The husband treated me this way long before we had a dog.

When I was a child, my family had a dog. It would bite strangers, but loved us.

Dad installed a post with a 30’ cable to the back door, and another cable to a snap for the collar.

The dog ran free, back and forth, had shelter, and seemed quite happy.

It’s not that hard.

Oh, my Golden Retriever had a wonderful life! She guided me to work each day, and home safely, and when she wasn’t at my side, she was luxuriating on one of her three dog beds, or racing up and down the beach or roaming the forest with my sighted companion. She had the Life of Riley, that dog, and in harness, she worked well and out of harness, she played hard. GOOD dog!

That’s so sad. Looks like his water dish is empty and no shelter from the elements.

My smile just left. My dog lives better than I do but so many live a sad life.

My mother tried putting one of our cats on a leash once.

The Cat Snarled, Bit clean through the leash and took off, never to be seen again.

Years ago, there was a story about a retired police K9 who went to live with his former partner. The dog was secured to the doghouse, and a neighborhood cat, who had figured out the length of the rope. seemed to delight in tormenting the dog. Until the day the rope broke …

There are rescue groups that help dogs who have bad owners.

I have to say, I haven’t seen this in decades. Most people I know want to put clothes on the pooch, which some seem to actually like (I find it degrading). The worst I ran into was just after we moved here, about 20 yrs ago, and found a friendly big dog wandering the streets. It was a hot day for May, he was thirsty & needed a good brushing. He’d shed but it was all still stuck in his remaining fur. I finally located the owner who was in no hurry to pick him up. It was a person from a country (I later found out) didn’t think of dogs as pets. He had the dog for protection (this dog wasn’t effective at that, he was a lover). I was pretty angry that the owner was so casual about making me sit around & wait for him to pick up his dog & barely said thanks. Next time dog was out wandering, I caught him & called animal control. I hope pooch found people who would love him.

That’s not a happy camper.

Why tie him up with a complete fence around the yard.

One comic that will never be funny. If you have to tie or chain up a dog in the yard to own one, please do NOT own one.

I wish I could seriously hurt people who treat dogs like that, without being caught that is!
