I wonder how the fairy queen is doing since the toilet emergency.

Just imagine them all naked as the saying goes.

Watcher: Yes, I am sure that wil help… “I am up here skating and my parents & my brother are watching me, totally naked together with a bunch of strangers!”

Why are the organizers always the oblivious, who think that all this effort should be “fun” ? Don’t they remember being children?

Time to bite the bullet, Liz. You looks awesome and you’ll do great!!

The butterflies in the belly just make it more fun. That’s part of the magic.

Those feelings just make it more awesome when you nail it!

1. Where are your glasses? 2. I’d bet there isn’t anyone in that audience who would happily exchange places with you.

My 4-year-old granddaughter did a Christmas play with her pre-school class. Didn’t seem nervous at all, but then, she’s really social and enjoys performing.

when I was about 5 my parents put me in skating. The performance we eventually practiced for was Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs. I couldn’t stay upright very well, I was given the role of Dopey. People thought the falling was rehearsed and therefore perfect.

There are actors who experience stage fright. 2 that I read about were Sir Laurence Olivier and Tea Leoni. You would never know it.

Elizabeth, I’ve always felt the same way just before a performance, but once it all begins it all comes back!

Actors, athletes, and many others (including priest & preachers) suffer bouts of stage fright of various degrees prior to performing in front of an audience.

Most will tell you that if they didn’t have a bit of nervousness, they’d be more worried because they were too complacent.

As a musician, I find solo work less stressful than playing with a group. It’s one thing to embarrass myself, another to wreck a piece for my bandmates.

I love the drawing in the last panel. Without showing their feet, it is still obvious they are on skates.

Forget imagining naked. Realize instead that everyone in that audience (except Michael) is rooting for you and wants you to enjoy yourself.

I can just imagine this exchange betwee n Elle and Elizabeth: Elle: “You’ll do fine, Elizabeth. Break a leg!” Elizabeth: “‘Break a leg’? But Mom, that’s what I’m afraid of!” ; )

Stage freight is good because it helps you perform better.

Whenever I had to be on stage for whatever reason I just blurred the audience out in my mind so they were just a big blob.

Another reason why when asked what would I do If I could live it “Over Again” …

I reply " I wouldn’t…once was enough…."

Sure sounds like fun…NOT.
