Edith is so proud that Bull didn’t go back to help Georgie and chose to cross the finish line instead (though he’s going back to help her, anyways). She may not have passed out, but in a way, Edith got her wish.

Edith really wishes she had brought a camera. That way, she could record and relive this moment for years to come.

I’m reading this differently. It looks to me as if he started to put his foot across the line, then thought better of it and went back to help her. I guess it all depends on if his left toe touched the ground or not.

I thought the moment one’s CHEST crossed the line is the finish time.

Can we have an alternate version where he cramps up or twists an ankle so we see what she does? Both are interesting.

nope, just like the end zone, his toe crossed the plane. winner winner, chicken dinner!
