Marcie and Peppermint Patty sit at their desks in school. Peppermint Patty sleeps. Marcie says, "Crayons? Yes, ma'am."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty continues to sleep. Marcie says, "I'm just putting them away now."<BR><BR> Marcie places the crayons in Peppermint Patty's hair as she sleeps. Marcie says, "Red, blue, yellow, green, brown, pink . . ."<BR><BR> Crayons stick out of Peppermint Patty's hair. She says, "Don't go home without telling you? No ma'am, why would I go home without telling you?"<BR><BR>

Because PP is always ‘out of it’ at shcool and therefore would not be missed if she left and so the teacher re-emphasizes that she must tell her when she is leaving. Makes perfecfly good sense.
