All kidding aside, THIS is good experience for any guy thinking about becoming a father one day. I think Jack will make a good one, whether Luann “chooses” him or not. (I think NOT) The guy has a good heart. The same hold true with Ox and Gunther.

But none of those guys would hold a candle to Brad. I really hope he’s taking this “Shannonless” opportunity to spend some (A-Hem) “Quality Time” with his wife Toni.

Luann is not a good debater – so distraction works better than argument. One exception: I did like a few Sundays ago when Shannon demanded a cookie.Luann took the cookie out of the jar and explained to Shannon that she can’t have it because Luann was eating it. Once in a while the truth is simple.

WHY is Shannon still just 6 years old – hasn’t she been the same age for several years now?

The point of this is clearly to show how comfortable Luann and Jack are with ech other, and the little things he does to “rescue” her in whatever situation. Actually she kind of rescued him in that tire changing foible comic in the past. He is a continuing character in her life, the only male one she is drawn routinely with; is this a harbinger of a things to come? A romantic relationship? I say yes in GnK’s good time though.

One more thing, they would have left-handed kids, he clearly is left-handed judging by the hand he points to Santa with.

You know… That orphanage has a drop off bin, just like the post office does. And it wouldn’t be difficult to get Shannon to hop in, either. You’d just tell her that there are people in there she could bother, and a team of wild horses couldn’t stop her from going in.

Shannon misheard Jack, and thought he said Satan. Looks like they never did buy a tee shirt for Jack’s niece. Were they too youthful/mature for a 14 year old? The unicorn shirt, according to Luaan, was especially inappropriate!

Jack is trying to help Luann to handle Shannon. She looks so grateful. It’s obviously that both of them are having a good time together.Shannon has finally entered the age of “Why?”. I still have some of the caricatures my cousins used to do with me asking Why for everything. It’s a great age.

I wish Greg would finally display a storyline about someone disciplining that little freakin brat.

I’m not seeing any romance between Luann and Jack…..yet. Appreciation on her part, although the sideways glances in last panel could lead to or suggest something. Shannon needs a time-out, for about a month!

When will Luann and Jack figure it out?

Greg, I wish you would bring back Aaron Hill….Luann’s high school love. It would be an interesting storyline for the fans of Luann to follow. I really love Luann. She has endured the test of time.

I’ll try back again Monday. Maybe she’ll be gone by then.

I have to admit, I’m liking this arc. And I like Lu and Jack together. They’re good friends, and that’s where everything starts, and sometimes stops. Either way, it’s all good.

Pendulum swings between Luann and Tiffany. Bernice is fading out unless Piro returns. It would be interesting if Rosa returns with a bundle of joy.

Yay for Luann for taking control of the situation. Shannon needs firm boundaries.

Jack sends Shannon (who, as usual, sucks all the O2 out of the room) in another direction so he and Luann can have some time to talk.

Jack seems to be a really great guy! I think he makes a good match for Luann.
