Before I had an electric kettle in which to heat my water for herbal tea, I used to microwave a mug of water with a tea bag therein for approximately a minute fifteen/thirty seconds. Now that I have an electric kettle, I have to let it boil and manually turn it off before it really starts to bubble vigorously which would make it too hot instead of it automatically turns off.
I don’t have a problem with having a cup of reheated coffee as long as it’s not more than a day old. That I don’t get is that the pot on my coffee maker indicates that it holds 5 cups when in reality it only makes 2.
Again, I’m holding the title of “Plugger Supreme” (or maybe I’m just a redneck— LOL!!): The Black & Decker coffee maker gets programmed Sunday evening, then sits there ready Monday morning with hot, aromatic fluid… as the week rolls ahead, the carafe slowly empties out. Thursday night is a repeat of Sunday’s preparation…
I once had a supervisor who would just add a teaspoon of fresh grounds to the previous day’s coffee grounds so by the end of the week the ‘coffee’ was pretty undefinable. It sure made us try to get to work early so he wouldn’t be the one making the coffee!
Flashback to airforce days. We had a helicopter that had a plug in for a coffee pot. The helo went from Trenton to Sioux St. M to deliver a lamp for a light house. When they got back they plugged the pot back into an outlet in the canteen. In the morning after I poured a cup from the pot (not knowing) Any guesses?

Not always, I don’t mind it if my coffee’s reheated, but Papa Plugger SWEARS by his Keurig.

So two left over from yesterday, how many for today?

In the shop I reheat yesterdays, add three sugars, stir thoroughly with number 3 Philips screwdriver (wrench works too) and microwave for one minute.

You’re a Plugger if you don’t mind dust, scum, mold, or bugs in your coffee; it just has to be hot.

I guess that qualifies me as a Plugger.

Put my coffee in a thermos after brewing :-)

Would a plugger leave that much coffee behind?

I like my coffee like I like my women. Cold and bitter.

we bought a Keurig so we could have fresh coffee every time. Wife will forget she made a cup or leave it on table till its cold. She’ll drink day old.

If you though Fourbucks was a sad excuse for coffee, try Keurig for another step down.

I do this, but mine is brewed into a thermal carafe that keeps it better than a glass one.

We keep ours in a thermal carafe, That way it doesn’t go stale, and still tastes good when reheated.
