Marcie and Peppermint Patty walk into an auditorium that is filled with other children. Peppermint Patty says,"Row R...seat 3"<BR><BR> They sit in the seats and Marcie says,"These are good seats"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty looks at the program and says,"I see they're playing 'Peter and the Wolf' again...every time we go to a 'Tiny Tots' concert, they play 'Peter and the Wolf'!"<BR><BR> She turns to Marcie and asks,"Where's your ticket stub, Marcie?" Marcie replies,"I threw it away"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty says,"You should always save your ticket stub, Marcie" Marcie spreads her hands and replies,"I don't need it..I'm already in my seat..."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty says,"I always save my ticket stub in case they have a drawing for a big prize..."<BR><BR> Marcie turns to her and says,"At a concert?"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty says,"I'm thinking maybe they'll give away a violin...they seem to have more than they need..." Marcie replies,"You're weird, sir!"<BR><BR>

These strips were inspired by Leonard Bernstein’s “Young Peoples’ Concerts” that used to be televised. Schulz said that whenever the camera panned over the audience, each and every one of those kids looked as though they wished they were somewhere else. Lesson to be learned: if you want to get kids interested in classical music, don’t drag them to concerts like this. Show them Bugs Bunny cartoons!!!
