Brian needs to draw Sylvia like he used to- a pointy nose and her old hair style. She looks like teenager here.

Sylvia must have had a Dr. Crane makeover. She looks like Nelson with a wig – especially in panels #1 & 2.

About 25-30 years ago, She kept saying we needed a new shade on one of the lamps, so that was one of – ONE OF – the many gifts I gave Her that year.

I’ll let you know if forgiveness ever rears its apparently-very-shy head……………

I used to travel internationally every year. I never got over the astonishment of having so many male co-workers, many of whom I barely knew, walk up to me and ask me to buy a Christmas / birthday / anniversary present (“Just pick up anything”) for his wife on my travels so he didn’t have to. Needless to say, I had no interest in spending my vacation running errands for some lout who couldn’t be bothered, let alone taking up my precious luggage space with a gift for someone I didn’t know.

I actually ASKED for a vacuum cleaner for Christmas for one year. We couldn’t afford to buy one after our old one died, so my husband asked his dad for one for me. I knew his dad would buy us a really good one. :o)

Earl has had enough trips to the fabric store to choke a horse, so yeah, it’s ok for her to pick out a gift for mom!

    Earl gives me guidance.

    ……………………….

I ordered something my beloved wanted a few days back. “Oh, by the way, Happy Birthday.”

Rather than this, Earl could have just asked what her daughter thinks Opal would want! What a fink!XD

One year my dad and I went Christmas shopping. As we were leaving my mom asked my dad to get her a new mop because hers had fallen apart the week before. When we were in line at the check out some lady almost hit my dad for buying the mop, I had to straighten out the whole situation.

Bought my mom a mop for Christmas when I was 8 or 9. The old one did look pretty bad. Couldn’t figure out why the saleslady looked so odd when I asked her to gift wrap it.

What’s wrong with a mop, it’s practical. I guess you can tell I’m not married.
