This is the proper time for it. Not Christmas decorations next to the Halloween props….in September.

Fireplaces were the first heat pumps. They pump all of the heat out of the room and up the chimney.

But it’s not every other Thursday at nine o’clock yet

Maybe the kids will call Arlo and Janis tomorrow.

I consider Thanksgiving Day the “Opening Day” but I’m taking today off so I’m willing to call it a “soft opening.” (In case my counsel was required in such matters.)

I’ll finish getting the outdoor lights put up today but I won’t light them until Friday. I want to give Thanksgiving its due. (And by that I mean, I have a 6’ Airblown Inflatable Turkey in my yard right now that’s using a critical extension cord.)

Indoor decorations will be dug out of the basement tomorrow and Friday. Friday morning my Wife will begin her mulit-day project of (as one of my daughter’s friends once put it) “…making it look like Christmas vomited all over every room of the house.” (I think she meant it as a compliment.)

The artificial tree will go up in the Family Room. The prime spot in the Living Room is reserved for the real tree – one we go to the tree farm to cut. That will happen a week or two before Christmas.

Arlo, can we get through Thanksgiving before you declare the beginning of the holiday season, please.

Sorry to break it to you, Arlo, but this year the stores had Christmas crap out on the shelves the weekend BEFORE Halloween…

Tomorrow is also Thursday, if you know what I mean

Gee, don’t most people get their family together for Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Unfortunately, it seems that retailers started the Fall/Winter season back in the middle of July.

I like Jimmy’s, err, umm, Arlo’s hat hair!
