Did Miss Giuffra just make her prosthetic out of a toy store lightsaber? (Is one safe from eating rhubarb leaves if you blanche them in boiling water?)

Apparently Catoptrophobia increases when you get old.

Not as groovy as having a chainsaw as an attachment.

And I thought catoptrophobia was fear of kitty cat eyes.

Say, is she the daughter of Greg Guffria of the rock bands Angel and Guffria?

A lot of the veggies we eat contain Oxalic acid. Carrot and radish are as “bad” as rhubarb, spinach contains twice as much as rhubarb. But you have to take it concentrated to be harmful. And you need about 5 Kg of spinach or 10 Kg of carrots to get a lethal dose. Just to be on the safe side, I don’t eat plants :D

There is a community garden near my office and I like to visit it on occasion. One day I was strolling thru and saw one of the gardeners. We started talking and he was laffing about a theft. I said why was that funny. The city people mistook his rhubarb for greens. They stole the leaves and left the stems, LOL! Someone was gonna have a well deserved tummy ache.

Practically all dark green leafy vegetables contain oxalates; so a “large dose” of any of them would kill you. Define large dose.

I once lived in an apartment where there was a full length mirror placed opposite the mirror on the medicine chest. I always felt vaguely uneasy looking at either of them because of the multiple reflections; I half expected to see something eerie deep in the reflections.

Interesting about the mirror. I remember a “guru” type of hippie, very popullar, in Toronto decades ago yammering about “knowing when to turn away from the mirror.” lmao

I’m afraid to look in a mirror, especially first thing in the morning. I am NOT attractive.

I looked into the mirror and it poisoned my mind twice It left me both times crippled And it tossed my fate like dice

I looked into the mirror and the devil smiled both times My flesh was sold with no feelings With no reason or rhyme

The smile on my face gave way to my feeling But only time was there to tell Somewhere in space, my thoughts are still reeling The mirror looked through hell And damned me where I fell

    - “The Mirror” from the album “The Mirror” by Spooky Tooth. One of the classics. ☺

RBION really ought to define “large doses.” A sufficient amount of any food can kill.

I’m not afraid of looking into mirrors… I just don’t like to, because I’m not a fan of what’s looking back at me.

Pretty much anything can kill you if you consume it in large doses.
