Well, the warts have cleared up. Easy come, easy go.
In the last panel wartless Billie blames his short companion for their predicament, so that kid must be Bub. Some new questions, though:
1 Why Clarence— just an arbitrary name, or did it mean something to 1911 readers?
2 Is the blank speech balloon in panel 4 some censored dialog that is no longer acceptable, or is Bub speechless?
