COUPONS YOU CAN USE
"JUST GIMME THE HITS"
* Requires any band or solo act to quit playing obscure B-sides and album cuts...
..and start playing the !@#$ hit songs you came to hear!!
I saw Rush in the Snakes&Arrows tour, and Geddy Lee comes to the mike and says “I know what you guys want to hear, but for now we’re going to engage in some shameless narcissism…”
We were fortunate to see Paul McCartney on his latest tour, and he joked about that, saying the more obscure songs were the time for people to go get another beer! It was a fabulous show even without all the major hits.
Wrong answer. I want to hear the good stuff that didn’t get run into ground with constant radio play. They make good song bad & bad song hellish that way.
Part of the reason I do not like live music. That and the way the song changes as the band indulges the fans singing along and letting them take the chorus. I am more than happy to forgo the all that and the ticket price in favor of the radio and streaming services
