Sardines, Shrimp Tails, Hair Balls… It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas!.

I never see that type of clothespin in any of the stores anymore. I wonder where they got them? All I see now are the springy type and I don’t think those are as well made as they used to be. I break them sometimes when I hang my laundry on the clothesline.

Today is:

Pearl Harbor Day. And shame on my calendar for not mentioning it!

Earmuff Day

National Cotton Candy Day. I love cotton candy! Interestingly, it was a dentist who invented the machine that makes cotton candy.

National Rhubarb Vodka Day. I love rhubarb, but I won’t use it in this way.

Skyward Recognition Day (that’s to honor the “skywatchers” who watch for severe weather & tornadoes when storms approach.

Kiki is quite found of sardines.

I wouldn’t think the sardines would last long enough on the tree for them to need clothespins. Or is it so they won’t be tempted by the smell?

My husband occasionally eats a can of sardines. How can one little can of sardines smell up the whole house. I understand the need for the clothespins.

I had a mental crossover with Terry Pratchett’s “The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents.” Sardines, Dangerous Beans, Darktan… would make nice ornaments for Ten Cats’ Christmas tree….

A tree decorated with sardines wouldn’t smell very good, but I’m sure the kitties would love it! On another note, saw a nuthatch while out walking a few days ago. Didn’t see any animals out today, unfortunately, probably due to the rain.
