After Cabot was hypnotized and told to cluck like a chicken, he never got over the idea that he was a bird.

It’s a footrace between youth and old age. Youth has not a care in the world, while old age is carrying a heavy load.

OK, I know it’s “sticks ‘n stones”, but what are the stones for? What? You say they throw them at me? I was just upskirting you…

The expression is “speak softly and carry a big stick”. It’s “stick”, not “sticks” you fool.

I just can’t muster any “humorous reply” to this one. This man is perhaps 50 yrs old, and can hope for a few more backbreaking years. The girl will be pregnant at 14. This is largely, “the Human Condition”. Truly, “most men lead lives of quiet desperation”. Outside the Western World, billions still live like this. Call me “Mr. Sunshine” – it’s a POWERFUL painting.

Milt was so convinced that his sticks would be recognized as the best sticks in the market place that he hired muscle to protect them from would be thieves. Milt was not right in the head.

Old Milt’s in a helluva fix/ his existence depends on sticks/ but he’s not very good/ at gathering wood/ and he’s too old to learn new tricks ! (My mood has improved – it’s sunny today !)
