I once drove past a crow that managed to land on top of a post without any bobbing back and forth like most birds do when the make a short landing. If I’d had cards with numbers on them in the car with me I certainly would have awarded him a high score. (I may not be able to fly, but I can appreciate when it’s done well.)
Apparently, birds sing throughout winter, regardless of the weather, in the land of the Jumbo’s. Not so here. They fluff out their feathers to stay warm and visit friendly feeding stations.

About the only birds I see in the winter are crows. When the hawks return in the spring, the crows leave.
