Fruitcake has gotten a bum rap, to the point where people aren’t even willing to try a taste. Too bad, some are VERY good. Yeah, there are bricks out there, but a good, moist fruitcake is better than fresh banana bread. Of course, it helps if the moisture is supplied by brandy …

I’d much rather eat homemade fruitcake than a Twinkie or white Wonder bread. Those last two are awful.
