    Jan doesn’t want to vacuum the fallen needles either, does she? Not to mention Cagney drinking the water in the stand as well as attempting to climb the tree.

    Yes chop off a live tree from the earth, a tree that produces oxygen, beautifies the earth, inhabits the birds and other creatures, is vital for the ecosystem, etc. etc. ….put it in your home for a few days to shrivel and dry up,then throw it away. That does wonder for the environment.

    I have very happy memories pf going out to get our Christmas tree. Opening a box just isn’t the same.

    Real Christmas trees are a renewable resource. Most Christmas trees are now grown on tree farms for this express purpose and are bio degradable as opposed to plastic trees that consume resources and will pollute the earth for thousands of years.
