Brings to mind the late Victor Borge’s schtick of having someone come in late and climb over everybody in the first row. “I came all the way from Denmark, and I got here on time.” Great performer. . .truly funny. . .
I always pick a seat on the aisle. That way, if I have to get up to use the facilities (I get my snack before the movie starts), I don’t have to pass in front of people trying to watch the movie.
The theaters in my area all have been remodeled so that all the seats are big comfortable recliners and each row is so musch higher then the row in fron of you, that a basketball team sitting there wouldn’t obstruct your view. Along with the reserve your own seats, it’s very nice. Biggest beef now is with the idiots who can’t do without using their smart phones.
One of the few things I miss about working 2nd shift, Sunday late movie. Last movie call of Sunday. Every one else had to up up for work on Monday morning. Last show start at 10, I would be home before 1 and still beat my normal time to bed. I would for the most part be the sole patron in the entire establishment.

Is she trying to teach you a lesson. Next time send someone else to save seats. Not sure.

That is why I prefer the aisle as well.

I think that she’s trying to make it harder for Ralph to get that third bucket of popcorn and giant soda and candy bars and, and, and.

I stopped going to the movies because I got tired of Ralph and his kids climbing over me to get to his wife.

Most all theaters now a days have reserved seating. Especially in California where the Drabbles live.

Easy solution, don’t sit by her. Then you can enjoy the movie, just not the ride home.

She knew that if she picked aisle seats, Ralph would come in from the other end and piss off the the whole row.

I haven’t been in a movie theatre in 47 years, and I aim to keep it that way.
