I don’t believe Central France has ever had a snow day… Maybe in the Alps or Pyrenees…

Why would you want to wake them up just to tell them that they can sleep in?

Why on earth would she wake him up to tell him he doesn’t have to go to school?

I love the little smiley face on mom’s comment tail on “It’s a snow day.”

Think how satisfying it will be for him to roll over and snooze on a school day! Doing something naughty without the risk!

You have a storm that starts out with rain, goes to freezing rain, and then snow—no one is going anywhere the next morning—especially when the temperature dropped to -25F/-32C overnight, and no one remembered to plug in their block heater.

I grew up in Florida. We had hurricane days instead. You held the shutters while Dad drilled ‘em in. Then you sat in the dark, listening to the radio until it was over. Still better than school… so long as the roof held.
