Tell me what science book you got that out of Earl. I could use some of it.

Old age is one’s reward for having frustrated the world’s attempts to wipe you out. Enjoy it while you have it because the game is rigged.

A scientific definition of time is surprisingly difficult. Scientists know what time is in the same sense that an athlete knows what time is. Beyond that, it’s hard to say.

At least you’re asking Earl about his age, it would be a whole different matter if you asked Opal!

It’s not a science, Earl. Old age is an art that must be practiced daily to achieve lasting results, – but once mastered, it has its own rewards.

My mother always told her age this way if asked. “I’m as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth.”
