Groucho Marx was named Julius on the mistaken assumption that Uncle Julius was rich. Uncle Julius’ reaction to this flattery was to move in with the Marxes, paper suitcase and all. As I recall, the bulk of his estate was a celluloid dickey. He DID inspire his namesake to wear a paper, later painted, mustache on stage.
